Iran’s Central Headquarters of Khatam al-Anbiya warned on Tuesday that any US military strike on one of the country’s nuclear facilities would be regarded as an expansion of the war, following a threat by US President Donald Trump.
Iran (IMNA) - In a statement, the headquarters said the United States had threatened to attack Iran’s nuclear and other sensitive facilities, stressing that if the US military carries out such an operation, Tehran would consider it an escalation of the conflict.
It added that, in the event of an attack, all US interests, along with those of its allies and supporters, would become targets of what it described as a powerful response by the armed forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
The warning came hours after Trump said the United States would soon target one of Iran’s nuclear facilities.
