Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi Emphasizes Firm Stance on Nuclear Rights Ahead of Istanbul Talks

Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi declared ahead of Friday’s negotiations in Istanbul that Iran will not relent on its nuclear rights and uranium enrichment activities.

Iran (IMNA) - Addressing the upcoming talks, Araghchi stated, “Tomorrow’s talks are a continuation of previous discussions, and the world must know that our positions have not changed — we will defend the Iranian people’s rights.”

In an interview with Mehr News Agency, Araghchi highlighted that especially after the recent Israeli-imposed war, it is essential for the other side to understand that the Islamic Republic’s position remains steadfast. “Our uranium enrichment will continue; we are not giving up this right of the Iranian people,” he affirmed.

The talks scheduled for Friday follow the same path as prior negotiations, with Iran’s position remaining clear and unchanged. Deputy foreign ministers from Iran, the UK, Germany, and France will convene in Istanbul on Friday morning to discuss sanctions relief and Iran’s nuclear program.

These negotiations will begin at 9:30 a.m. local time at the Iranian Consulate General in Istanbul and will take place at the deputy foreign minister level. Earlier, a spokesperson for Iran’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed the talks, noting that the agenda includes lifting sanctions and issues related to Iran’s nuclear program, with Iran prepared to clearly articulate its positions during this round.
