    Falak-ol-Aflak castle is located on top of a hill, at the center of Khorramabad. It is one of the most attractive monuments which was built during the Sassanid era. It has been known by some other names such as Shapour-Khast or Sabr-Khast fortress, Dezbaz, Khorramabad castle, and finally Falak-ol-Aflak castle. It was registered in Iran's National Heritage list with the registration number of 883.
