Shevi waterfall

Shevi waterfall is one of the most beautiful waterfalls in Iran which is located in Dezful, Khuzestan Province, with a short distance from Lorestan Province.

Iran (IMNA) – Shevi waterfall which is also known as Tale Zang waterfall is considered as one of the most unique and eye-popping waterfalls in the Middle East. Shevi in Bakhtiari Lori language means tenderness. This area attracts many tourists, especially nature lovers and adventurers in particular.

To reach the waterfall, you should pass through a mountainous road. Passing the winding, twisting and rutted road worth because there is a wonderful waterfall behind. As you go on, the sound of water will excite you.

This attractive waterfall comes outside of a cave, and then flows downwards. The water of this waterfall runs through a distance from the plains and mountains and finally enters Dez Dam in Khuzestan Province. It should be mentioned that Shevi waterfall is 100 meters high and 70 meters wide.

The floristic biodiversity in this area includes trees like willow, fig, and oak. In addition, there are different species of animals such as bear, wolf, and leopard living around the waterfall. But till now, no human attack has been reported.

In close distance to this waterfall, there is another waterfall called second Shevi waterfall. The best time to visit Shevi waterfall is in spring, since the decent weather and green space make it an enjoyable experience. This waterfall was registered in the list of Iran's national monuments on 19 January, 2015.
