At this point, the first cultural week of Isfahan came about in Paris. As part of Isfahan's cultural week, 38 events unfolded in this charming city that sounded appealing to the Parisian citizens, and gained wide publicity on the country's media."

Referring to investors having enthusiasm for participating in economic activities in Isfahan, the mayor remarked, "French investors announced their promptitude to get involved in the construction of Isfahan metro line 2. In addition, fruitful negotiation was cropped up with cities like St. Petersburg and Isfahan's sister cities, and we welcomed a lot of foreign business delegations in the city."

Concerning the prosperity of tourism in Isfahan, Ghodratollah Norouzi continued, "Unfortunately, following the US withdrawal from the deal and imposition of sanctions, Isfahan’s tourism industry got into quite a predicament."

In the wake of the ongoing global pandemic of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID‑19), Isfahan’s municipal authorities strived for the best possible result to turn this threat into an opportunity to set up stronger and more amicable relationship with the sister cities of Isfahan.

“In this regard, correspondences were carried out with the mayor of Xi'an that brought favorable results,” the mayor of Isfahan remarked.
