Iran (IMNA) - This comes as Armenia recently signed a strategic partnership document with the United States, which includes plans for a U.S. team to visit Armenia to discuss border security.
When questioned by journalists about whether the U.S. initiative was discussed with Iranian counterparts, Kostanyan clarified that Armenia discusses all issues with Iran but noted that the U.S. Secretary of State's statement regarding enhancing Armenia's border control effectiveness is unrelated to Iran or critical issues. He highlighted that the close relations and special cooperation between Armenia and Iran serve as proof of their strong partnership.
"I believe that the statement issued is another proof of our close relations and special cooperation. I do not see any issue that we cannot reach an agreement on with the Iranian side. Our relations are at an unprecedented level," Kostanyan stated. This assertion underscores the deepening diplomatic ties between Yerevan and Tehran, which have been strengthened through recent high-level security talks and economic collaborations.
