Iran (IMNA) - This meeting also confirmed Morocco, Spain, and Portugal as co-hosts for the 2030 World Cup, with Uruguay, Argentina, and Paraguay staging celebratory matches.
This upcoming tournament marks a significant milestone as Saudi Arabia becomes the second Middle Eastern nation to host the World Cup, following Qatar's successful hosting in 2022. Notably, the 2034 edition will be the first to feature 48 teams competing in a single host country.
The matches are set to take place across 15 stadiums in five cities: Riyadh, Jeddah, Al Khobar, Abha, and Neom. The King Salman Stadium in Riyadh is anticipated to host both the opening and final matches, boasting a capacity of 92,000 spectators once completed.
