Iran, Egypt Unite Against Israeli Actions in Gaza and Lebanon

Iran and Egypt have condemned the Israeli atrocities against Palestinians in the Gaza Strip and the Lebanese nation, calling for an immediate halt to the brutalities.

Iran (IMNA) - During a meeting in Cairo on Thursday, Iranian Foreign Minister **Abbas Araghchi** and Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi discussed the escalating situation in West Asia.

The officials emphasized the urgent need to stop Israeli aggression and prevent further escalation that could lead to widespread conflict in the region. They highlighted the importance of delivering humanitarian aid to refugees affected by the violence. Araghchi expressed his deep concerns regarding the ongoing Israeli actions in Gaza and Lebanon, stressing the necessity of utilizing all diplomatic avenues to alleviate tensions and suffering among the Palestinian and Lebanese peoples.

Sisi echoed these sentiments, extending greetings to Iranian counterpart **Masoud Pezeshkian** and reiterating Egypt's concerns about regional developments. He underscored the need to prevent further escalation of the conflict, advocating for the preservation of territorial integrity and national sovereignty across the region.

The two leaders also explored ways to enhance bilateral relations between Tehran and Cairo, emphasizing stronger diplomatic consultations. Following their discussions, Iran's Foreign Ministry spokesman **Ismaeil Baghaei** noted that Araghchi had a "very useful conversation" with Sisi regarding regional issues. Araghchi also met with Egyptian Foreign Minister **Badr Abdel Ati** as part of these diplomatic efforts.
