The president emphasized that all teachings within the Abrahamic religions advocate for the support of the oppressed Palestinian nation.

Iran (IMNA) - President Ebrahim Raeisi expressed his concerns to Pope Francis about the alarming and unprecedented actions carried out by the Zionist usurping regime. He described the regime's actions as constituting the largest genocide of the century, resulting in the tragic loss of nearly 10,000 lives, including 4,000 children and 2,500 women.

Raeisi further highlighted that providing support to the oppressed people of Palestine aligns with the teachings of all Abrahamic religions, including Christianity. He expressed gratitude for Pope Francis' stance on the urgent need for a ceasefire in Gaza and requested his assistance in leveraging his influential position to exert pressure on Western nations to halt the Israeli regime's atrocities.
