As long as Iran maintains its nuclear program, a deal is acceptable

Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, the leader of the Islamic Revolution, states that as long as Iran's nuclear infrastructure continues to function, a deal may be reached. However, he cautions dealings with the West since "it has broken its promises many times and its untrustworthiness is now proven."

Iran (IMNA) - The leader made the comments on Sunday in Tehran at a meeting with a group of nuclear specialists and authorities.

According to Ayatollah Khamenei, Iranian nuclear management, authorities, and activists have built up crucial infrastructure for the nation's nuclear sector during the past few years.

"There may be certain areas where you should come to agreements. There is nothing wrong with coming to an agreement, but the infrastructure needs to be maintained. They cannot suffer injury. They are the result of other people's efforts, remarked Ayatollah Khamenei.

We suffered setbacks as a result of these mistaken trusts. It is crucial for a country and its authorities to recognize who they can trust and who they shouldn't. Over the previous 20 years, we have gained an understanding of it. We know who to trust and who to avoid," the leader declared.

The Leader stated that the nuclear industry is essential to advancement in many disciplines and that it is one of the most significant contributors to the nation's might, credibility, and strength.

He said that the sector benefits people's lives in the technological, economic, and health sectors and strengthens the nation's position in the world and on the international political stage.

According to Ayatollah Khamenei, despite sanctions, threats against scientists, and the murder of some of them, the 20-year nuclear struggle revealed the amazing potential and skill of Iranian youth.
