Iran (IMNA) - 4 million and 654 thousand tourists from the Republic of Azerbaijan have traveled to foreign countries in the first 10 months of 2019, of which 36.5 % of them choose the Islamic Republic of Iran as their destination.

Iran has always been the centerpiece for Azeri tourists as they travel to Iran for medical treatment purposes and pilgrimage to the religious cities.

Iran has abolished its visa regime for the neighboring Republic of Azerbaijan since 2010, and increased the number of visa free days from 15 to 30 days as of November 2015.
