The body of the esteemed Master Mahmoud Farshchian arrived early Monday morning, August 18, 2025 (27 Mordad 1404 in the Iranian calendar), through Shahid Beheshti Airport in Isfahan, Iran.

The procession will begin at the Isfahan School of Fine Arts (Honarestan Honarhaye Ziba), where Master Farshchian began his artistic journey, and proceed to the tomb of the great poet Saeb Tabrizi, where he will be laid to rest. This burial location honors Farshchian's wish to be interred beside Saeb Tabrizi, symbolizing a historic union of Iranian art and literature.
Mahmoud Farshchian was born in 1930 in Isfahan and passed away on August 9, 2025. He was renowned for revolutionizing Persian miniature painting by blending traditional aesthetics with modern sensibilities, creating emotionally profound works celebrated worldwide.
