Iranians nationwide took to the streets on Quds Day, voicing firm support for Palestine and condemning Israel's actions in Gaza and the West Bank.
Iran (IMNA) - The annual event, held on the last Friday of Ramadan, symbolizes solidarity with the Palestinian cause amidst rising regional tensions.
Established in 1979 by Imam Khomeini, Quds Day is an international occasion to oppose Israeli occupation and Zionism. Demonstrators in over 900 cities carried Iranian and Palestinian flags alongside banners reading “Free Palestine” and “Al-Quds must be liberated.” Flags of resistance groups such as Lebanon’s Hezbollah, Yemen’s Ansarullah, and Iraq’s Hashd al-Sha'abi were also prominent.
Senior officials, including Parliament Speaker Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf, attended the Tehran rally. Similar demonstrations occurred globally, amplifying calls for justice as Israeli attacks on Gaza and the West Bank continue[.
