Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei, the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, has emphasized the need of Iranian authorities conducting conversations with international parties with dignity, stressing that forbearance in foreign policy does not contradict foundations and principles.
Iran (IMNA) - Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei has warned of opponents' efforts to inflame tensions between Iran and its neighbors.
Ayatollah Khamenei mentioned Iran's lengthy borders with various, sometimes major and prominent, countries, stating the government's policy of communicating with its neighbors is extremely vital and correct.
The goal of foreign interference is to exacerbate tensions between Iran and its neighbors. The Leader addressed a group of ambassadors to various nations and representatives from the Iranian Foreign Ministry on Saturday in Tehran. He urged them to prevent the adoption of this strategy.
The Leader addressed the ongoing transformation of the international order and its widespread usage in diplomatic literature.
"The transformation of the world order is a process that is lengthy and full of unpredictability and potentially unanticipated occurrences, and different countries have different and opposing views and approaches to it."
According to Ayatollah Khamenei, it is crucial to position Iran appropriately inside the new system by keeping track on, analyzing, and predicting world events.
The Leader stated that "practical suggestions should be derived on the basis of this observation and evaluation," adding that Iran's ambassadors and representatives should play a significant role in this respect, particularly in countries that have influence over world trends.
"Dignity in foreign policy means rejecting surrender diplomacy," Ayatollah Khamenei remarked on Saturday in Tehran, speaking to a gathering of Iranian Foreign Ministry officials and ambassadors to neighboring countries.
"Wisdom translates into taking landmark decisions in the course of international interactions," he continued.
As Ayatollah Khamenei noted, "Expediency means knowing how to maintain flexibility as flexibility does not conflict with fundamentals and principles."
He also urged Iranian diplomats to use "good, timely, and well-thought-out" personal efforts while interacting with foreign officials.
The Iranian representatives, according to the Leader, are a reflection of the nation's identity and character, stating, "Iranian diplomats should be a symbol of faith, love for dear Iran, zeal, and determination." They must be vibrant and vigorous, and their words and deeds must inspire respect for the Iranian people."
