September 25 is considered as the start of the school year in Iran. There is the mixed feelings of happiness, homesickness, joy and excitement among the students, particularly the first graders.

Iran (IMNA) - Schools are now reopened as the start of the school year arrived in Iran. Students and staff are taking precautions to curb the spread of the coronavirus. It is mandatory for the students to wear face masks for the purpose of hygienic protection practices as well as demonstrating students’ awareness about COVID-19.

After several months of distance learning, which was challenging for children and teachers, first-grade students are the main learners to return to school in an educational setting reshaped by the coronavirus pandemic in Iran.

Iranian schools reopened on September 25 amid the concerns over the fifth wave of the coronavirus pandemic along with resistance by some parents not sending their children back to schools.
