Repeatedly renovating cities over years, decades, and centuries has left us with environments that reflect every interval of urban history at once. Some cities have barely changed, however, there are many urban areas that undergo a sea change in a variety of forms and styles.

Iran (IMNA) -Iranian cities, especially the historical ones have seen incredibly fast development in architecture and urban planning; so, it's no surprise that urban areas in such cities are rapidly changing too. Here we journey back in time to reveal the historic images of Hamedan, and to show you that it has undergone a dramatic transformation since a century ago.

Hamedan, located at the northeastern foot of Mount Alvand, is an ancient Iranian city that used to be the place of residence for some of the great thinkers and artists of the Islamic period.
