Iranian presidential candidates have congratulated Seyyed Ebrahim Raeisi on his victory in the 13th Presidential elections; Iran's Interior Ministry has not released the official results yet.
Iran (IMNA) - Iran’s presidential candidate Ebrahim Raisi, the head of the judiciary, has taken an overpowering lead in presidential election after 90 percent of the votes were counted, the Iran's interior ministry said on Saturday.
Based on initial results, Ebrahim Raisi received over 17.8 million out of the 28.6 million votes that have been counted, the interior ministry announced.
Mohsen Rezaei, the IRGC former commander in chief, received over 3.3 million votes.
The former Governor of the Central Bank of Iran (CBI) Abdolnaser Hemmati, with over 2.4 million votes, and Amir Hossein Ghazizadeh Hashemi with over one million votes came next.
