For Muslims across the world, the fasting month of holy Ramadan ends at the beginning of Shawwal with sighting of the crescent moon in the sky. The Iranians are celebrating the Eid Al-Fitr today as the new moon sighted in the country.

Iran (IMNA) - Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, announced today as Ei-al-Fitr after receiving multiple reports from reliable religious scholars on the sighting of the Shawwal moon.

For most of the world’s Muslim communities, the holy month of Ramadan has been spent in global quarantine and lockdown this year.

The Eid al fitr, marking the end of Ramadan, arrived today in Iran. Many Muslim communities across the country celebrated the religious holiday under the coronavirus restrictions for second year.
