“One of the city’s historic bridges was illuminated with red lighting simultaneously with member states of the Asian Mayors Forum to appreciate the efforts of frontline medical staff; The Khaju Bridge was selected to get illuminated during this global action in Isfahan,” Director General of Communications and International Affairs Department of Isfahan Municipality said.

Iran (IMNA) - “In order to appreciate the efforts of the frontline healthcare workforce, especially during the outbreak of the Coronavirus, coinciding with the World Red Cross and Red Crescent Day, and on the eve of International Nurses Day, the historic Khaju Bridge in Isfahan was illuminated with the phrase Common Pain, ” Iman Hojati said.

"The lighting included two hours' duration and the program started at about 20:15 with video projection mapping and continued until 22:00. Citizens also followed the event online," he continued.

"World Red Cross Red Crescent Day and National Nurses Day are celebrated on 8 & 12 May, 2020 respectively; this nationwide action was aimed at empathizing with the world's medical staff as coronavirus pandemic has swept the globe," he ended.
