A top priority of municipal markets during the outbreak of COVID-19 is ensuring the safety of citizens in the stores.

Iran (IMNA) - Buying foods in such a critical condition of coronavirus outbreak remains essential to many of us. However, since each visit imposes added risk to people and staff inside the markets, Isfahan municipality has adopted increasingly rigorous cleaning measures and other practices to assure safety. Social distancing is a vital strategy to control crowd which has been implemented in Isfahan’s municipals markets.

The measures aim to encourage customers to bring the fewest number of people necessary to shop, provide more space for other consumers and practice social distancing in markets.

Also, some warning signs have been installed at the entrances telling customers to wear a masks, avoid entering if they have symptoms of Coronavirus, keep certain distance from others, cough or sneeze into a tissue or elbow, not involve in any unnecessary physical contact, not touch what they need, quickly shop and leave the market after purchase.

As the COVID-19 condition continues to develop, Isfahan municipality’s managers will best serve people while helping slow the spread of the virus as the safety of citizens is what matters the most.
