Iran (IMNA) - A fish bowl with one or some goldfish is one of the main items of Haft Seen; though it does not start with "S" in Persian. Some people believe that it is the symbol of life and good luck; the red color of goldfish stands for kindness, victory, and livelihood. Over the past years, environmentalists urged people not to buy goldfish, since they are imprisoned in a jar and finally they are doomed to die, while Nowrouz itself is the celebration of rebirth, health, wealth, hope, and livelihood. Although, as it appears, some people cannot emit goldfish from their Haft Seen table; therefore, the best way is to learn how to buy healthy goldfish, take care of them appropriately and finally drop them in running waters.
