World Press Photo Foundation is a creative, independent and nonprofit organization based in Amsterdam, the Netherlands; a global platform connecting professionals and audiences through trustworthy visual journalism.
Iran (IMNA) - This organization is founded in 1955 when a group of Dutch photographers organized a contest (World Press Photo) to expose their artworks for an international audience. Since then the contest has been grown into the world’s most prestigious photography competition. Through worldwide exhibition program, World Press Photo presents stories that matter most to millions of people. In 2018, the winners were chosen by an independent jury that reviewed more than 73,000 photographs entered by 4,548 photographers from 125 countries.
Currently, World Press Photo exhibition is being held in Isfahan and showcasing the best of 2016-2018 and the stories that matter with photography from the 61st annual World Press Photo contest. The good news is that you can enjoy visiting the exhibition for free!
