Iran (IMNA) - Baqaei made the remarks in response to statements by Italian officials, who said their country's involvement in the imposed American-Israeli war against Iran was limited to technical support and logistics, while denying any cooperation in military operations against Iran.
In a post on his X account, Baqaei described the position as a "glaring contradiction" and a "fallacious argument" aimed at evading responsibility for complicity in a grave internationally wrongful act. He said publicly denying assistance to the aggressors while acknowledging the provision of technical and logistical support that enabled and facilitated the unlawful American-Israeli war of aggression against Iran was inconsistent.
The spokesperson stressed that providing technical and logistical support to the aggressors constitutes a clear and direct contribution to the commission of an illegal war of choice, describing it as a blatant act of aggression and a serious violation of international law.
