Iran, US, Pakistan, Qatar Hold Quadrilateral Talks in Switzerland on Islamabad MoU Implementation

A quadrilateral meeting involving Iran, the United States, Qatar, and Pakistan began on Sunday at the Bürgenstock mountaintop resort in Switzerland, focusing on the implementation of the Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding.

Iran (IMNA) - Iran’s delegation is headed by Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, while the US delegation is led by Vice President JD Vance.

Prior to the Iran-US meeting, Ghalibaf held separate discussions with Pakistani Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif and Qatari Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, who are serving as mediators in the negotiation process.

Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi also met with Swiss Foreign Minister Ignazio Cassis before the start of the talks.

The Iranian delegation includes Deputy Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council Ali Bagheri Kani, Deputy Foreign Minister for Legal and International Affairs Kazem Gharibabadi, Central Bank of Iran Governor Abdolnaser Hemmati, National Iranian Oil Company CEO Hamid Bovard, and Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baqaei.

US Vice President Vance is accompanied in the negotiations by President Donald Trump’s son-in-law Jared Kushner and US Special Envoy Steve Witkoff.
