Iran (IMNA) - According to the report, developments including the limitation of Israeli attacks on Lebanon were interpreted as progress in implementing a ceasefire.
The talks are also focused on the release of Iranian financial assets, which the U.S. side has agreed to in principle, requiring further expert-level and technical discussions.
Iran has stated that the ceasefire in Lebanon has not yet been fully realized and that the United States is obligated to ensure that Israel adheres to its commitments.
The Iranian delegation is pursuing this issue both through Pakistan as mediator and within the negotiation framework.
At the same time, the Iranian side has expressed skepticism toward the U.S. position, citing previous experiences of unfulfilled commitments, and has entered the talks with caution.
Negotiations between Iran and the United States have begun in Islamabad following intensive consultations and reported progress in discussions.
