Pezeshkian made the remarks in a speech while thanking the Iranian people for what he described as their strong and determined presence in supporting the country.
“We stand firmly against those who attack Iran and we will respond,” he said. “We are forced to respond from the territory of any country from which attacks are launched against us, and the greater the pressure imposed on us, the stronger our response will be.”
The enemy wants us to be at war with Islamic countries and to create discord between us,” Pezeshkian said. “We have repeatedly stated that we consider neighboring countries as brothers and we seek good relations with them. However, if attacks are carried out against our soil from any country, naturally we will have to respond.”
