The 103rd flotilla of the Iranian Navy returned home on Friday after 100 days of sailing in international waters and taking part in a joint naval exercise in South Africa.

Iran (IMNA) – The 103rd flotilla of the Army Navy docked at Konarak Port in Sistan and Baluchestan Province, southeastern Iran, after covering nearly 13,000 nautical miles during its mission.

The flotilla was composed of the Makran forward base ship, the Islamic Republic of Iran Navy destroyer Naqdi, and the Shahid Mahdavi helicopter carrier of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps Navy. The mission began in early December 2025 with the objective of participating in the international joint maritime exercise “Will for Peace 2026,” held in January at the Port of Simon’s Town in Cape Town, South Africa.

Upon entering Iran’s territorial waters, the naval fleet was warmly welcomed during a ceremony in Konarak.
