Iran (IMNA) - Speaking to reporters after attending a session of the Majlis National Security and Foreign Policy Commission, Araghchi said the meeting focused on reviewing current international developments, including issues related to US invasions and what he described as the illegal and unjust behavior of the United States toward countries around the world.
Referring to the situation in Venezuela, the top Iranian diplomat said that when US President Donald Trump speaks of peace through the language of force, it amounts to promoting the “law of the jungle,” implying that those with greater power can act without restraint. He described this as a new phenomenon that has compelled many countries and scholars of international relations to view it as a serious problem.
Araghchi added that lawmakers also reviewed the latest developments in Venezuela during the session. He stressed that the Islamic Republic of Iran’s embassy in Caracas continues its activities normally, with the ambassador and staff fully engaged in their duties. According to him, the situation is being closely and regularly monitored, reports on Iranian nationals are consistently received, and their conditions are completely satisfactory, with no problems reported. He noted that preparations have also been made to respond to any potential situation.
