Iran (IMNA) - Speaking at a session of parliament, Ghalibaf congratulated the successful launch of the Kowsar, Zafar-2 and Paya satellites, praising Iran’s young scientists for receiving the first signals from the spacecraft. He said the satellites were developed by knowledge-based companies and university centers and built by the country’s elite youth, demonstrating in practice the slogan “We Can.”
Ghalibaf noted that no power can prevent Iran’s progress, citing the development of the Zafar-2 satellite as an example. He said approximately 340,000 man-hours of specialized work were carried out by Iranian scientists during the satellite’s construction, with dozens of complex components designed and manufactured in the process.
Elsewhere in his remarks, the parliament speaker emphasized Iran’s defensive doctrine, reiterating that the Islamic Republic does not require permission to protect itself.
“The Iranian nation’s response to any adventurism or aggression will be broad, decisive, uncompromising, and even unexpected,” Ghalibaf said. He added that Iran’s decisions and actions to secure its national interests and exercise its legitimate and lawful right to self-defense would not necessarily be predictable or similar to past responses.
