Iranian Armed Forces Advance in AI, Quantum, Drone, and Laser Technologies

Brigadier General Ali Jahanshahi, commander of the Iranian Army Ground Forces, announced that Iran’s armed forces have made significant progress in developing advanced technologies, including artificial intelligence, quantum systems, drones, and lasers.

Iran (IMNA) - Speaking at a gathering of army commanders in Tehran on Saturday, Jahanshahi highlighted the country’s growing military capabilities and technological independence. “Thank God, the country's armed forces have a lot to say in new technologies, especially in artificial intelligence, quantum, drones, and lasers,” he said.

He emphasized that Iran achieved operational independence during the 12-day conflict, particularly in missile and drone technologies, which were domestically developed.

Jahanshahi also underscored the strategic significance of Iran’s position in the Strait of Hormuz, noting that controlling the strait equates to influence over global energy flows. “One of the advisors to the former US president says that Iran's independence and instability are effective in the region and the world,” he added.

The commander further stressed the importance of collaboration within the armed forces, saying that in areas ranging from weapons and equipment to creative work tools and engagement with knowledge-based companies, the military continues to foster synergy and innovation.
