Iran’s BRICS and SCO Membership Opens New Economic Opportunities

Iran (IMNA) – President Masoud Pezeshkian highlighted that Iran’s active participation in BRICS, the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), and the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) is generating significant economic opportunities for the country.

Speaking at the annual Iranian capital market conference titled “Resilience, Innovation, Growth,” Pezeshkian said Iran’s presence in these international organizations has strengthened constructive relations with neighboring countries. He added that this progress continues to grow daily, facilitating economic activity and supporting investors’ initiatives.

“A large market is taking shape thanks to diplomatic interactions, and Iran is inviting international figures so that Iranian traders and economic actors can play a targeted role in the country’s economic growth and development,” the president noted during the Saturday conference in Tehran.

Pezeshkian also emphasized the importance of government measures to streamline commercial and economic activities, improve efficiency, and prevent budget deficits. He underlined the need to align government revenue with budget allocations, stating that ongoing economic meetings this year aim to bring spending under control.
