Pezeshkian: Iran Pursues Peace but Rejects Coercion

President Masoud Pezeshkian reaffirmed that Iran seeks peace but will not yield to bullying or pressure, emphasizing that the country will not abandon its nuclear program.

Iran (IMNA) - Speaking on Friday at a meeting with “Digital Economy Activists” in Tehran, Pezeshkian stated, “We seek peace and security, but we will not bow to coercion.”

He pointed to Western demands, noting that, “They say let’s negotiate about missiles, then they say you must not have missiles, while at the same time they arm Israel and bomb us whenever they want.”

Pezeshkian stressed that Iran aspires to live in peace but “will not kneel to bullying.”

He recalled that on June 13 the Israeli regime, supported by Washington, launched an unprovoked attack on Iran, initiating a 12-day war that left at least 1,064 people dead, including military commanders, nuclear scientists, and civilians.

The United States also entered the conflict by bombing three Iranian nuclear sites in what he described as a grave breach of international law.

In retaliation, the Iranian Armed Forces targeted strategic locations across the occupied territories as well as the Al-Udeid US airbase in Qatar.

By June 24, through its retaliatory operations against both the Israeli regime and the United States, Iran succeeded in bringing the aggression to a halt.
