Iran (IMNA) – Mo’meni made the remarks during a meeting with Omani Interior Minister Sayyid Hamoud bin Faisal al Busaidi, who is visiting Tehran to attend the meeting of interior ministers of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) member states.
Highlighting the vast capacities for bilateral collaboration, Mo’meni noted that Iran and Oman possess significant potential to expand cooperation across all fields.
For his part, the Omani interior minister described the relations between the two nations as excellent, noting that ties are continuously growing stronger. He added that strengthening bilateral relations was the main purpose of his visit to Iran.
After a 15-year hiatus, Iran is hosting the meeting of ECO interior ministers in Tehran on Tuesday, a move that underscores the Iranian government’s policy of enhancing cooperation with neighboring countries.
Earlier on Monday, the Omani minister also met with Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian and Secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council Ali Larijani for talks on mutual interests and regional cooperation.
