President Pezeshkian Arrives in Isfahan, Calls for Managerial Excellence and Self-Reliance

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian arrived in the central province of Isfahan on Thursday, October 16, 2025, to inaugurate several national projects and participate in international and domestic events.

Iran (IMNA) - The President was welcomed at Isfahan airport by the provincial governor and local officials upon his morning arrival. His itinerary for the trip includes attending the 4th International Nahj al-Balagha Conference, the 22nd National Skills Competition, and the 27th Festival of School-Building Donors, according to the Iranian Presidency website.

Emphasis on Management and Public Initiative

During a meeting on Educational Justice Development with managers from the Education Ministry across the country, President Pezeshkian delivered a significant message on the importance of managerial quality and national self-reliance.

Pezeshkian underscored the critical role of managers, asserting that an organization's success or failure is approximately 90 percent dependent on its senior management. "If an office or organization performs well or poorly, its root lies in its management," he stated, referencing his own experience while heading the Tabriz University of Medical Sciences. He stressed that senior managers must possess the vision to "build the best."

Call for Self-Reliance in Development

The President explicitly called on officials and the public not to depend solely on the government for progress. "If we try, we will certainly succeed. We should not wait for the government; progress is contingent upon the cooperation of the people and reliance on our own capabilities," Pezeshkian said. He linked national unity and cohesion to the populace working in conjunction with managers.

Commitment to Educational Quality

Pezeshkian also addressed the crucial need to elevate the quality of education in Iran, stating it is "unacceptable" to lag behind other nations in the field of education and training. He charged managers with the duty of providing a high-quality education for the next generation, noting, "The conduct of managers is itself a lesson for students, and the country will only be set right when our outlook and action are right."

Speaking on the challenges facing the nation, President Pezeshkian declared that administrators "should not tolerate a lack of classrooms or educational facilities." He warned that the desire among students to emigrate or leave the country is a clear "sign of weakness in our management and foresight."

Blame Placed on Officials, Not Foreign Enemies

"We are sleeping on gold today, yet we face livelihood problems," Pezeshkian stated. Crucially, he exonerated the public and foreign powers, asserting: "The fault lies neither with the people nor with America, but with the managers, officials, and lawmakers who must be held accountable."
