Caspian Sea States Ink Strategic Pact to Bolster Regional Security

The naval commanders of Iran, Russia, Kazakhstan, and Azerbaijan have signed the Caspian Sea Comprehensive Strategic Cooperation Agreement, reaffirming their unified stance against any foreign interference in the region’s affairs.

Iran (IMNA) - The document was finalized at the conclusion of the meeting of the Caspian Sea littoral states’ naval commanders, marking a new phase in regional collaboration.

According to the agreement, the Caspian Sea’s security and related matters will remain under the sole authority of its littoral nations. The commanders underscored that no foreign or extra-regional powers will be allowed to intervene in the internal affairs of the Caspian Sea.

The agreement reflects the collective will of the participating states to deepen strategic cooperation and ensure enduring stability across the Caspian basin.
