Iran (IMNA) - Established in 1982 and after some interruptions, the festival has been hosted by various cities including Tehran, Hamadan, Kerman, and Isfahan. This year, in addition to Isfahan, films will be screened in 18 other provinces across Iran.
A total of 393 works were submitted for participation this year. Among these, 8 feature-length fiction films, 19 short films, and 11 animated works are competing in the national section. Meanwhile, in the international section, 18 films were selected from 183 reviewed entries, showcasing significant geographical diversity.
Special programs in this year's festival include tributes to renowned figures such as the dubbing veteran Zohreh Shokufandeh, popular children's presenter and actor Dariush Farsiayi (Uncle Pohrang), and cultural manager Mehdi Masoudshahi.
Two closing ceremonies will be held: one for short films and animation on October 6, and another for feature films on October 8.
Extensive cultural programs, including workshops, theater, painting, visual arts, and competitions, are organized under the festival’s slogan "Every Child and Youth of Isfahan, an Artist."
This festival serves as a significant cultural occasion in Isfahan and across Iran to celebrate and promote cinema for younger generations and foster artistic talents from diverse backgrounds.
