Iran, Russia Sign $25 Billion Deal to Build Four Advanced Nuclear Power Plants in Southern Iran

Iran and Russia have signed a $25 billion agreement to build four advanced third-generation nuclear power plants in Sirik, Hormozgan Province, southern Iran.

Iran (IMNA) - The deal was finalized between Iran Hormoz Company and Russia's Rosatom Company.

The Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI) spokesman Behrouz Kamalvandi announced from Moscow that the new plants will be larger than the existing Bushehr power plant. Kamalvandi made these remarks during the Russia World Atom Week (WAW) Atom Expo 2025 exhibition, where the AEOI delegation led by Mohamad Eslami was present.

He praised Russia's cooperation in constructing the Bushehr Power Plant, emphasizing that it meets international standards.
