Iran (IMAN) - Alireza Habibi, a provincial tourism official, said on Monday that 90 diverse tourism, cultural, and artistic events will be held across the province during the month-long festival.
He said the festival aims to promote tourism and highlight the province's various potentials.
Habibi detailed that the festival includes 36 urban festivals, 30 rural festivals, and 34 private sector festivals. Programs include celebrations of pomegranate, almond, bread and ice cream, adobe structures, Kavir carpets, handicrafts, local garments, and souvenirs.
The festival offers special support programs for tourists; some hotels, traditional lodgings, ecotourism, and tourism centers in the province offer up to 30 percent discounts to travelers. Shopping centers, restaurants, and entertainment venues also participate in the discount scheme.
Many accommodation providers have joined this plan to attract more tourists.
Habibi described the festival as a prime opportunity to introduce Isfahan’s natural, historical, and cultural attractions. All domestic and international tourists are welcome to visit Isfahan and enjoy its diverse programs during this period.
Isfahan boasts around 22,000 historical and architectural monuments along with intangible cultural heritage elements such as foods, rituals, celebrations, traditional craftsmanship, and handicraft production, reflecting Iran’s history and culture in this region. This wealth has made Isfahan one of Iran’s most welcoming tourist provinces.
Once a hub of international trade and diplomacy, Isfahan is now a top tourist destination known for many architectural marvels including extraordinary Islamic buildings, bazaars, museums, Persian gardens, and tree-lined boulevards. It’s a city for strolling, exploring its labyrinthine bazaars, relaxing in beautiful gardens, and socializing.
