Iranian President Calls for United Islamic Action to End Gaza Humanitarian Crisis in Call

In a phone conversation on Wednesday morning, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian spoke with Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim, highlighting the urgent need for collective Islamic efforts to halt the worsening humanitarian catastrophe in Gaza.

Iran (IMNA) - Pezeshkian condemned the atrocities committed by the Zionist regime in Gaza, describing them as unacceptable to any free human being. He expressed hope that Islamic countries would engage in active diplomacy and coordinated pressure to stop these crimes and confront them with unity and responsibility.

Pezeshkian reaffirmed Iran’s longstanding support for the oppressed Palestinian people and called on other Islamic nations to strengthen their proactive stance in backing Gaza. He stressed that collective efforts to challenge the Zionist regime’s actions would be effective. Referring to the recent 12-day war imposed by the Zionist regime against Iran, Pezeshkian stated that Iran’s only fault is defending the Palestinians’ rights and opposing the injustice they endure, which leads to pressure from global powers who view this defense as a crime.

The Iranian president also advocated for expanding cooperation with Malaysia and enhancing ties in all areas of mutual interest. Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim condemned the Israeli regime’s atrocities in Gaza and affirmed that Malaysia has issued a strong statement against Israel’s actions. He noted Malaysia’s active diplomatic efforts to stop the genocide and expressed hope that cooperation and solidarity among Islamic countries could bring an end to these crimes.

Anwar reaffirmed Malaysia’s commitment to improving relations with Iran and conveyed respect for the Iranian government and people. At the conclusion of the call, he thanked Pezeshkian for the invitation to visit Iran and expressed his readiness to accept it.
