Iran (IMNA) - Aref highlighted the importance of strengthening and broadening bilateral relations in key sectors such as road construction, energy, environment, transit and transportation, technology, and artificial intelligence.
“Armenia holds a unique position in the Islamic Republic of Iran’s regional strategy, and the ties between Tehran and Yerevan rest on firm and unbreakable foundations,” Aref stated.
He also noted that official consultations between the two countries are at a satisfactory level and expressed Iran’s openness to continuing these dialogues. Reflecting on his recent visit to Armenia and participation in the Eurasian Union summit, Aref pointed out that valuable agreements have been initiated across multiple areas, including transportation, energy, infrastructure, trade, agriculture, science and technology, education, culture, and public relations. He stressed the need to deepen these cooperative efforts progressively.
Expressing support for peace talks and conflict resolution through negotiations, the First Vice President said Iran welcomes lasting peace and stability in the region and among neighboring countries. He underscored the belief that peace benefits all regional states and emphasized resolving regional issues independently, without foreign interference.
