Iranian Foreign Ministry Rejects "Baseless" Accusations from 14 Western Countries

The Iranian Foreign Ministry has dismissed the “baseless” accusations made against the Islamic Republic by 14 Western countries in a joint statement. On July 31, a group including the US, France, and 12 other nations condemned Iran’s alleged state-sponsored threats and activities in Europe and North America.

Iran (IMNA) - In response, Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Esmaeil Baghaei condemned these repeated “baseless and ridiculous allegations” as a bold attempt to shift blame and divert public attention from Israel’s genocidal actions in Palestine. He rejected the security-related accusations, stating that the US, France, and other signatories to the statement should instead be held accountable for violating international law by supporting terrorism and hosting violent groups.

Baghaei further referenced recent Israeli and American aggression against Iran alongside the ongoing genocide in Gaza, which he said is met with either active support or approving silence by the countries behind the anti-Iranian statement. He denounced the accusations as deliberate falsifications aimed at advancing an anti-Iranian agenda designed to pressure the Iranian nation.

Finally, the spokesman condemned the move by Western countries as a breach of international law and the United Nations Charter, insisting that the signatories must be held responsible for their indecent and irresponsible conduct.

The joint statement was signed by the governments of the US, the UK, Albania, Austria, Belgium, Canada, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, the Netherlands, Spain, and Sweden.
