Iranian Student Organizations Urge Muslim Nations to Unite Against Gaza Atrocities, Demand Action from Arab Universities and Governments

Student organizations at the University of Isfahan and Isfahan University of Medical Sciences have issued a joint statement addressed to the Muslim nations worldwide, alerting them to the catastrophic conditions facing the people of Gaza and urging immediate and unified action to confront the crimes

Iran (IMNA) - According to Imna News Agency, in light of the ongoing atrocities committed by the Zionist regime in Gaza and the use of starvation as a weapon of war against defenseless civilians, the student organizations of the University of Isfahan and Isfahan University of Medical Sciences have released a statement in three languages — Persian, English, and Arabic — calling upon Muslim nations to break their silence, stand firmly against these crimes, and exert pressure on their governments to adopt decisive stances.

In this context, more than 440 emails were sent by the student organizations of the University of Isfahan and Isfahan University of Medical Sciences to professors and universities in Arab countries including Egypt, Jordan, Algeria, Morocco, Tunisia, Sudan, and Libya; of these, over 370 emails were addressed to university professors in those countries.

Notable recipient universities include Al-Azhar University, Tanta University, Zagazig University, Cairo University, Alexandria University, Jordan University of Science and Technology, University of Algiers, University of Africa, Carthage University, Mohammed V University, Koch University, University of Malaya, universities in Indonesia and Lahore, Mutah University, Sudan University of Quranic Sciences, Houari Boumediene University, among others.

The letter reads as follow:

"And what is [the matter] with you that you fight not in the cause of Allah and for the oppressed among men, women, and children?"
— (Surah An-Nisa, Ayah 75)

In an era when international communities proclaim the observance of human rights and organizations such as UNESCO have been established to safeguard these values, we are, lamentably, witnessing a humanitarian catastrophe unfolding in Gaza that profoundly wounds the conscience of every free human being.

Given the conspicuous silence of so-called humanitarian organizations in the face of the horrendous crimes committed by the brutal Zionist regime—crimes that seemingly surpass those of all tyrannical regimes in history—the question arises for the free nations: how can we extend timely assistance to the oppressed people of Gaza in these critical circumstances?

Undoubtedly, every awakened conscience testifies that no atrocity is more heinous than what is currently occurring in Gaza. This merciless massacre and systematic genocide have astonished the world and left nations in a state of shock.

Today, the criminal Zionist regime employs starvation as a lethal weapon against the defenseless people of Gaza, an act that constitutes both a war crime and a crime against humanity under international law. Today is not a day for silence! Muslim nations are well aware that sustainable security cannot be achieved by relying on or appeasing this regime; rather, resistance against this usurping regime is imperative for the continuation of peace in the world.

Any support extended to this regime by governments constitutes a grave betrayal of the Palestinian cause and humanity itself. This stain shall remain forever in history. As Abu Ubaidah said, the hands stained by these crimes will face severe punishment in this world and the hereafter.

Muslim nations must be cognizant that appeasement of the Zionist regime emboldens it to perpetrate further crimes in the region. This pattern indicates that after Palestine, other Islamic countries will be targeted. A clear example of this is the regime’s moves following the fall of Bashar al-Assad’s government, whereby it deployed military forces towards Syria and violated the sovereignty of that nation.

As Almighty Allah warns in the Holy Quran, the fate of no nation changes except by their own will. The student organizations of the University of Isfahan and Isfahan University of Medical Sciences, while expressing their utmost condemnation of all crimes committed by the Zionist regime and profound sympathy with the oppressed people of Gaza, believe that the destruction of this usurping regime depends on the will and effective action of the people.

We earnestly call upon all professors, students, and Muslim nations worldwide— especially those of North African countries (Egypt, Libya, Tunisia, Morocco, Algeria)—to maintain unity, rely on the power of faith, and be inspired by Islamic teachings to resolutely stand against this regime and pursue the following demands from their governments:

  1. Adoption of firm and united stances against the Zionist regime with the goal of the immediate cessation of war crimes; this essential objective can only be realized through the unity and collective will of our nations.

  2. Implementation of comprehensive (political and economic) pressure on the Zionist regime to lift the siege on Gaza, ensuring the full and permanent reopening of the Rafah crossing in a manner that allows continuous humanitarian aid to be delivered transparently and directly through reliable channels.

We hold firm in the belief that relying on the strength of the people and the assistance of Almighty God will imminently bring about the downfall of this usurping regime.

“And victory is not but from Allah, the Exalted in Might, the Wise.”
— (Surah Al-Imran, Ayah 126)
