Iran, Iraq Foreign Ministers Demand Immediate Action to Halt Israeli Crimes in Gaza

Iran’s Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi and Iraq’s Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein emphasized the urgent need for action to stop Israeli crimes in Gaza during a phone conversation on Friday night.

Iran (IMNA) - This call was part of Iran’s ongoing diplomatic consultations with Islamic countries concerning the critical situation in Gaza.

Both ministers strongly condemned the Zionist regime’s blockade depriving Gaza’s population of essential supplies such as food, water, and medicine. They called for practical measures by Islamic and Arab nations to end the blockade, deliver humanitarian aid to Gaza’s defenseless people, stop the ongoing genocide, and hold the perpetrators accountable.

Araghchi urged Islamic and Arab countries to convene an emergency meeting of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) and mobilize all national, regional, and international capacities to halt the genocide in occupied Palestine. Fuad Hussein expressed sorrow and condemnation over the crimes against Palestinians and stressed Iraq’s commitment to use all available resources to alleviate the suffering in Gaza and stop the Zionist aggression.

This discussion fits into a broader regional diplomatic effort by Iran to rally Islamic nations against the escalating humanitarian crisis and violence in Gaza, demanding urgent collective coordination to address the ongoing conflict and humanitarian blockade.
