More Than 100 Humanitarian Groups Warn of Mass Starvation in Besieged Gaza

Over 100 humanitarian organizations, including Save the Children and Médecins Sans Frontières, have released a joint statement warning of an impending mass starvation crisis in the Gaza Strip, which remains under siege.

Iran (IMNA) - The agencies described Palestinians as trapped in a relentless cycle of desperation, holding onto hopes for relief or ceasefires, only to face worsening conditions daily. "Palestinians are trapped in a cycle of hope and heartbreak, waiting for assistance and ceasefires, only to wake up to worsening conditions," the statement said.

The Israeli government, referred to in the statement as the Zionist regime, has confirmed a sharp decline in aid supplies reaching Gaza. However, Israeli officials argue that food supplies are available and accuse some aid organizations—some operating under Israeli supervision—of failing to distribute aid properly.

Meanwhile, UN aid agencies have consistently reported Israeli obstruction in securing safe passage for humanitarian convoys to enter Gaza.

According to Gaza’s health ministry, dozens of civilians, many of them children, have recently died from malnutrition. The joint statement also highlights that hundreds of Palestinians have been killed while trying to access aid over the past two months.

The international humanitarian community continues to call for an end to the blockade and for unrestricted access to essential humanitarian assistance.
