Iran Reports 22% Export Growth to Eurasian Economic Union in First Quarter of 2025

An official from the Trade Promotion Organization of Iran (TPOI) announced a 22% increase in Iran’s exports to the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) member states during the first quarter of the current Iranian calendar year, which began on March 21, 2025.

Iran (IMNA) - Elham Haji-Karimi highlighted the positive impact of the Free Trade Agreement (FTA) between Iran and the EAEU, which came into effect on May 15, 2025.

Haji-Karimi emphasized the strong enthusiasm among traders from both sides for the agreement and expressed confidence that bilateral trade between Iran and EAEU members will continue to grow. According to statistical data, Iran exported $532 million worth of non-oil goods to EAEU countries from March 21 to June 22, 2025, marking a 22% increase compared to the same period last year.

The majority of these exports were directed to the Russian Federation and the Republic of Armenia, which experienced 33% and 28% growth in exports respectively, she added.
