Highlighting the shared history and deep-rooted ties between the two neighboring countries, Pezeshkian described these connections as a valuable foundation for strengthening bilateral relations. He expressed Iran’s determination to elevate its relationship with Azerbaijan to a strategic partnership based on mutual interests.
President Pezeshkian emphasized the importance of accelerating joint initiatives in transportation, electricity, gas, as well as boosting bilateral trade and people-to-people exchanges. He also stressed that Iran supports the opening of regional transit routes that respect the territorial integrity of nations, which he believes can significantly contribute to lasting peace and stability in the region.
