Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian Highlights Growing Iran-Oman Relations Ahead of Muscat Visit

Ahead of his trip to Muscat, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian emphasized that bilateral relations between Iran and Oman are expanding steadily.

Iran (IMNA) - Speaking before his departure to Oman, Pezeshkian stated that the visit is at the invitation of Sultan Haitham bin Tariq of Oman. The trip aligns with the overarching policies set by the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, which focus on strengthening ties with neighboring countries.

“We are pursuing the best possible relations with our neighbors,” Pezeshkian remarked, underscoring cooperation in scientific, economic, and trade fields.

He also mentioned that regional peace, with particular attention to developments in Palestine, would be addressed during the visit to achieve a shared understanding.

The president stressed the importance of regional unity against Israeli atrocities, saying, “No sane and conscientious person can accept or tolerate the brutal acts committed by the Zionists. We must stand united and continue to protest through international institutions.”

Highlighting the $2.3 billion trade volume between Iran and Oman, Pezeshkian pointed to the strengthening bilateral ties and noted that discussions during the trip would cover shipping, trade, science, technology, industry, and investment relations.
