Iran (IMNA) - Trump described the ongoing discussions as "very, very good," and noted "real progress, serious progress" had been made. He suggested that a positive announcement regarding the talks could be expected "over the next two days."
The negotiations, held in the Italian capital, were led by Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi and Steve Witkoff, President Trump’s regional envoy. According to Iran's Foreign Ministry Spokesman Esmaeil Baghaei, the talks were conducted in a "calm and professional atmosphere," with Iran's "principled positions" clearly articulated.
Baghaei also mentioned that the Omani Foreign Minister had proposed new solutions to address outstanding obstacles, which were discussed during this round. It was agreed that further examination of these proposals would take place in both countries' capitals, with the Omani Foreign Minister continuing to refine the details and provide them for further study.
The date and location for the next round of talks will be determined and announced at a later time.
