Iran (IMNA) - In a statement on Friday, Baghaei described the continued siege of the Gaza Strip, the obstruction of humanitarian aid, and intensified attacks on refugee camps and temporary shelters for displaced people as clear examples of war crimes and crimes against humanity. He called for decisive international action to prosecute and punish the leaders of the Israeli regime for genocide and war crimes.
Baghaei also criticized the United Nations Security Council for its inaction in the face of these atrocities and held the United States and certain European countries responsible for supplying weapons to Israel, stating that these states are complicit in Israel’s crimes. He further condemned Israel's repeated violations of Lebanon’s sovereignty, including breaches of the ceasefire agreement, drone and airstrikes on Lebanese territory, and targeted assassinations of political and social activists. Baghaei emphasized the responsibility of the United Nations and ceasefire guarantors to put an end to these violations and crimes.
He concluded by warning that Israel’s impunity and continued killing of defenseless civilians in Gaza, the West Bank, and its occupation of parts of Lebanon and Syria pose a severe threat to peace and security in West Asia. Baghaei urged regional countries to take serious measures to prevent further instability and to confront the expansionist policies of what he described as the apartheid regime.
