Iran (IMNA) - The Iranian Defense Ministry participated to bolster international defense collaboration and expand export opportunities for its weapons industry.
Iran’s exhibit features homegrown weaponry designed for ground, naval, and aerial operations, alongside air defense and electronic warfare systems. The event, inaugurated by Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia’ Al Sudani, includes over 150 defense firms from 22 countries, among them Belarus, China, Russia, Pakistan, India, and Turkey.
The "Shahed 136" drone attracted significant visitor interest, highlighting Iran’s focus on precision-strike capabilities. Other showcased systems include the Arman missile (an anti-ballistic missile platform) and the Sevom Khordad air defense system, which can engage multiple aerial targets simultaneously.
The exhibition underscores Iraq’s role as a regional hub for defense diplomacy, with Prime Minister Sudani emphasizing its importance for fostering partnerships and modernizing Iraq’s military infrastructure.
